2009 World Jiu-Jitsu No-Gi Championship Results

The 2009 World BJJ No-Gi Championship (Juvenile & Adults) and the International Master and Senior Championship too place in Long Beach, CA on November 8th. Competitors from all over the world showed up to compete at the last IBJJF tournament of the year. Nova Uniao was represented by competitors from Arizona, Nevada, New Jersey, and Texas. Team Nova Uniao had 10 competitors, who were able to win 7 medals. Our Team took first place overall at the Juvenile division with only one competitor, Christian Broadnax (Nevada). Christian won all six matches to secure the Medium Heavy and the Open title. In the Adult Division, Bruno Bastos (Texas) took two bronze medals in the Black Belt Divsion (Heavy and Open). Issa Able (Arizona) won the Blue Belt/Lightweight Division.
