Nova Uniao Arkansas Hosts Robson Moura
The weekend of April the 10th was a monumental and historic weekend for Nova Uniao Arkansas, the Nova Uniao Team and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Arkansas. Nova Uniao Arkansas hosted 7 x World Champion and legend Robson “Robinho” Moura. The seminar was the largest training session ever held in Arkansas. Professor Moura captivated everyone in attendance with his World Class Jiu Jitsu, detail and passion for the art. To top of the weekend, Abby Malone joined the ranks of Nova Uniao Black Belts and became Arkansas’ first female Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt. Nova Uniao Black Belt Jory Malone had this to say about the weekend,
“Witnessing Robson’s passion for Jiu Jitsu first hand, it’s easy to see how he’s become such a legend. I’m always amazed at how much I learn each session with Robson even at Black Belt. The detail in even the most basic of techniques completely changes the game. It truly is an artistic expression of Jiu Jitsu that has to be experienced to even begin to wrap your mind around. I’m most proud of my wife Abby and the journey she has made. The journey of Jiu Jitsu is about conquering one’s adversity as it turns the belt from white to black and today her belt is black”.
Nova Uniao Arkansas wanted to say a special thanks to Robson Moura for his help, Nova Uniao Black Belt Marcelo “Pato” Pereira for his stay with the team and Nova Uniao Black Belt Robert Villegas for making the trip up from Corpus Christi, Texas to train and attend the seminar.
