Aldo Defends Feather Weight Title
Nova Uniao superstar, Jose Aldo, put his title on the line once again this past weekend, coming out on top. Aldo’s bout was against undefeated feather weight stalwart, Chad Mendes. Aldo brought the fight to Mendes, stopping him with one second left in the first round. The Nova Uniao black belt dominated the majority of the round with superior striking skills. After taking a small beating on the feet, Mendes managed to grab a hold of Aldo from behind, looking for the take down. With only seconds left, Aldo managed to break free from the powerful wrestler’s grip and turn to time a knee perfectly, knocking Mendes down and ending the fight. Congratulations to Jose Aldo and the rest of the Nova Uniao team down in Brazil.
